Old Section (members of these sections will automatically be assigned to the new section by IAS staff in September, all members may choose all new section memberships when they renew membership in October)
*The Science Teaching Section membership will hold a second election by electronic ballot prior to the 2006 ISTS Fall Conference to select a permanent name for the section. Members will choose between the following names:
Science Teaching
Iowa Science Teachers
Iowa Science Educators
Chair and Vice Chair are one year elected appointments made at the IAS Annual Meeting, except the ISTS sections which elect some positions for multiple years.
Affiliated with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), the American Junior Academy of Sciences (AJAS), the National Association of Biology teachers (NABT), the Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) and the Iowa Mathematics and Science Coalition (IMSC).
The Iowa Academy of Science is a 501c(3) non-profit. Donations to the Academy are tax deductable.
